Blending light

The photo below was shot last about two weeks ago while I was doing the Elph Project. That’s why I’m late posting it. The photo was created by blending strobe lighting with the ambient room light. The only room light was created by two small table lamps. If you’ve been to my studio you noticed the sitting area is kinda dark. Natasha, the subject, was lit with a combination of both the ambient light and also a small strobe. An f/1.2 lens was used to create the background blur and control depth of field.

That a great thing about photography, the number of different techniques that create unique looks is only limited by your imagination.
