I shot a finch

This weekend was quite busy. We did a lot of work on the deck (we have a large deck in the backyard, about 700 sq. ft.), we powerwashed and stained it. However, I did find some time to take a couple of photos. Friday night, upon coming home from a Wizard’s game, I noticed that the moon looked great. Since it was a clear, cool night it was great conditions to shoot the moon. This was shoot with a Canon 300mm f/4 IS lens plus a 1.4 teleconverter.

We have a couple of bird feeders in the yard and it’s cool to see the variety of birds that stop by and grab a bite. I saw a humming bird in the yard but it was gone before I could shoot it. However, I did get a shot of a Yellow Finch as it snacked on some seed.
