New Camera
December 30th, 2008
I finally took the plunge and bought a new camera. I was shooting with a Canon 30D and used a Canon 20D as a backup body. Now I have a 50D as my primary camera and the 30D is going to be my backup. The images are 50% larger on the 50D (15mp) than on the 30D (8mp). This makes the file sizes much larger which means I’ll soon need more archive drives. So far, I like the camera. Although I haven’t done any head to head comparisons between the 30D and the 50D, the additional resolution should make cropping easier.
Here is a still life I shot this afternoon with the new camera and the Canon 24-70mm L.
